The band probably got their name on everybody lips with their timeless album made with singer Nicole Willis (Nicole Willis & The Soul Investigators – Keep Reachin’up). Album was released back in 2005 but the band have been active since 1998. Few years later (2000) Dj Didier joined Soul Investigators and after that they have released three albums. Along the albums they have released several 7″ records, as heard on this episode! Today The Soul Investigators are working with Myron & E, American soul singer duo. I recommend checking out their record label Timmion website for some music clips posted.

Tunes selected to this minimix cooks up like this: three first songs are instrumental versions. Great ones that I wanted to bring ‘up front’ for people to listen. Because even you might have heard them, you have heard normal version. I’m NOT dissing singing, just want to give thundering High5 to a band I appreciate a lot! :D Two last ones are bands own tunes, not instrumental versions since there was no lyrics ever written. So again we Finns can rest in peace because these five tunes I selected tells you this: White men can funk and groove as good as originals back in 60′s!
