Time for a very special episode… Finnish commercial 7″ records! Idea for making this actually came from new law that was just accepted by our government this week. Law is aiming to make Finland smoke free. I would say let’s see, let’s see. First 7″ starts with the smoking theme…

First tune is by Jaakko Salo and his orchestra, commercial 7″ made for advertising Time cigarets. Tasting very good! On the vocals we hear Laila Kinnunen, she was really really popular singer during 50′s and 60′s. Love her voice!

Second one by Rauno Lehtinen Orchestra is advertisement for KOP (Kansallis Osake Pankki). Even the tune was great, that didn’t go too well, in the 90′s this bank got into troubles and fusion with couple of other banks happened. Outcome was Nordea, that is still running.

Third tune is advertising James jeans. If you wearing James pants, say Holla and get the groove on, acidic groove!

Fourth tune continues on same theme, acidic 60′s (btw I don’t know exact year of this..). Gotta quote line from label for finnish readers: ‘Vietävän vetävät. Piukat että soi. Kas ne aidot Amerikan mallit. Ja tietysti muotivärit. Kevään ehdoton farmarijuttu!’.

Last one is of course by ever lovely Maarit. Isn’t she lovely.
