Happy Mondays represented the true Madchester vibe from the late 80′s to the early 90′s. This song is one of their mellow ones, a nice midtempo roller with a hypnotic groove and the trademark piano sound of that era.
Many of the band’s tracks were produced by the legendary couple Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne, who also did some huge reworks at the time for artists like Massive Attack, U2 and The Cure. This club mix of ‘Hallelujah’ was also credited to Andrew Weatherall, another electronic music legend from the UK.
Put on your white gloves, blow the whistle and rave this one out in the early morning when the sun is just about to rise!
